Raelert finishes 3rd at Kona

Riding his custom painted Blue Triad SL Andreas Raelert put in a truly world class performance to finish his Ironman Hawaii debut with a podium spot!

He came off the bike in great position but felt the heat of Kona on the run.

"...I was really surprised that it was such a tactical race. The race is
like a roller coaster. It changes so quickly from one thing to the other. Today I’ve never had such a hard race in my life. When I hit the wall today, it was everything I could do to get to the line..."

Former ITU athlete Raelert only moved to long distance racing in 2008 and looks set to challenge for a while to come.
